About Me

Hi, I’m Stephen Finnegan. Nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Ireland, I’m a creator, tinkerer, and perpetual learner. When I’m not traversing the Mournes with a backpack or setting up camp under the stars, you’ll likely find me lost in a history book or working on my latest creative project. My days are split between digital and analog pursuits—coding on my home server one moment, sketching in my notebook the next. There’s something deeply satisfying about moving between these worlds, finding connections in unexpected places.

What I Do

I spend my time:

  • Building and maintaining my home server setup
  • Developing small applications and tools that make life interesting
  • Creating art through various mediums
  • Writing and experimenting with different forms of storytelling
  • Exploring the mountains and wild spaces of Northern Ireland
  • Diving deep into historical texts and narratives
  • Crafting small projects that live at the intersection of technology and creativity

My Background

I’ve always been drawn to both the technical and creative sides of life. My journey has been shaped by Northern Ireland’s rich history and dramatic landscapes, which inspire much of my work and thinking. Whether I’m debugging code on my latest project or sketching the view from a mountain summit, I believe in the value of both digital craft and traditional skills. These varied interests don’t just coexist—they inform and enhance each other, creating a unique perspective that influences everything I do. My home server acts as both a playground for experimentation and a platform for hosting my various projects. It’s become a digital workshop where I can tinker, build, and learn.
